Peter Ingham from Park Lane Primary School .. "I know that the children have really enjoyed the workshops this term, particularly the hip hop dance and they are going to perform this along with HSM tomorrow night for our music evening. The two ladies that you have sent have worked really well with them so thank you very much"........:)

We use Tu Danse to help us deliver our extended schools remit by offering after school clubs in an area that many of our staff are less confident in.

This is the second year that we have used Tu Danse to run after school clubs for us.

Last year we started with a highly successful ‘High School Musical’ dance club which was open to boys and girls of all ages.  It was delivered in such a fun, vibrant and energetic way and very soon the children were putting together routines to well known songs that they even sang along to.  Each week was different, allowing children to build in skill and confidence and the instructor even brought in pom-poms which were a highlight for many.  The enthusiasm and enjoyment throughout the school was infectious and even I joined in the sessions!  At the end of the course, the children were able to perform independently in assembly.

This year Tu Danse offer a wider range of courses aimed at the primary audience and based on popular music, film and television, so that we are now able to offer two clubs a week, for different age ranges – Funky Monkey’s and Hannah Montana.

We have found the dance teachers to be professional, skilled, enthusiastic and fantastic with the children.  Each session begins with a warm-up game and individuals are supported and encouraged technically, or just to have fun, enabling them all at the end of the session to have grown in self confidence and have a sense of achievement.

We are looking forward to continuing to provide after school clubs with Tu Danse in the future and I would recommend them to any school.  :P

Kelly Franks, Co-ordinator, Dogsthorpe Primary School says.........

Tu Danse has offered our children the opportunity to be expressive and creative through a combination of dance, singing and performance.  In partnership with Tu Danse we have successfully delivered a 2 day High School Musical workshop and look forward to the upcoming Hannah Montana sessions.  Tu Danse staff are professional and enthusiastic in their approach, which has a very positive impact on attending children.  Children are happy and engaged throughout the sessions and are keen to showcase their skills to each other as well as to parents/carers. ;)

`Over the past two terms we have used tudanse for a HSM and Hip Hop dance club after school.  Both of which have proved very very popular and children have been keen to share what they have learnt with staff and parents. It's been wonderful seeing children really excel and enjoy themselves at the same time. When I asked a child for feedback, their reply was 'it's just fun, fun, fun!!!'
